Hopatcong Sex Offender Broke Into Woman's Home, Committed Lewd Act: Police
Police say he knew the woman whose home he broke into.

HOPATCONG, NJ — A registered sex offender in Hopatcong was arrested after police say he broke into a home, masturbated over a sleeping woman and stole $20.
Michael Emmets, 35, of Sutton Road, Hopatcong, broke into the home of a female neighbor after midnight on May 2, according to police. A male resident reported to police Emmets masturbated over the sleeping woman.
During an investigation, police found Emmets also took $20 from the woman's bedroom.

Emmets was found guilty in 2005 of aggravated sexual criminal contact after having unwanted sexual contact with a female acquaintance, according to the New Jersey Sex Offender registry. He also goes by the name "Dragon Emmets" and has multiple dragon tattoos.
Emmets was charged with lewdness, burglary and theft for the May 2 break-in. He was taken to the Sussex County Jail.
