Simon Names New Area Director of Marketing & Business Development for Two NJ Malls

Simon, a global leader in retail real estate, recently appointed Maria Gregorius of Jersey City as Area Director of Marketing and Business Development for Rockaway Townsquare and Livingston Mall.

In her new role, Gregorius will position and promote Livingston Mall and Rockaway Townsquare as expansive retail destinations for fashion, discovery and community with consumers, sponsors and advertisers. Her day-to-day responsibilities will include managing mall communication initiatives and overseeing advertising, sales, marketing programs and public relations.

Prior to joining Simon, Gregorius worked for six years at Travelex, the largest currency exchange company in the world. Most recently, she held the position of Director of Marketing, PR and Communications where she was responsible for conceptualizing and overseeing all marketing and communication activities within North America including all aspects of the airport and off-airport retail, bank partners and ATM businesses. At Travelex, Gregorius successfully developed and launched market-changing products including the first chip and PIN (EMV) card in the United States in partnership with MasterCard. She has a long record of winning multi-million dollar airport proposals and played an integral role in helping Travelex expand into Latin America. Her previous roles at Travelex included PR and Communications Manager where she created and built the PR function as well as Marketing Manager.

Gregorius holds a B.A. in International Relations and Modern Foreign Languages from Syracuse University. She is fluent in Russian and highly proficient in Spanish and French. Her hobbies include traveling, cooking, outdoor activities and music.
