A Special Shoebox at Blairstown Fourth Celebrations
Many visitors of the event already knew of Operation Christmas Child and many others learned how they too can pack a gift-filled shoebox.
Millions of shoeboxes filled with gifts are distributed around the world to children in need each year through Operation Christmas Child. Information on how to pack these gift-filled shoeboxes was provided by Operation Christmas Child area volunteers to many members of the community who attended the Blairstown July 4th celebrations. Among those who visited the information table was 10-year old Danielle Penny, 2016 Junior Miss Spirit of the USA, who discussed with mom Meg some of the items they would want to include in their shoebox this year; they will be joining many in our community who plan to send Good News and great joy in shoeboxes to be collected nationwide during the week of November 14.
