St. Jude's to Host Ecumenical Service

Hopatcong will host an interesting worship Sunday.

The Lakeland Association of Churches will hold an ecumenical service at St. Jude's Parish on Sunday at 7 p.m. The association consists of 10 churches from the Lake Hopatcong area formed after severe flooding in August 2000.

An ecumenical service brings together different Christian faiths.

Rev. George Gothie said the ecumenical service rotates between the churches in the association over the years. He said he hopes the services helps bring Hopatcong residents out more regularly.

Hopatcong has four Christian churches—St. Jude's, West Side United Methodist Church, Byram Bay Church and Full Life Assembly of God.
