Race for the Cure, Sunday May 6th
Hopatcong resident Cheryl Hemmerich formed a team to fundraise and participate in the 2012 Susan G. Komen North Jersey Race for the Cure, Sunday May 6th. The team succeeded in its fundraising goal. Some of the funds were acquired through the staff at the Tulsa Trail School where Cheryl is employed. Michael Neu, a teacher at the school, also participated in Sunday’s race. Over 5,000 supporters and survivors turned out for the fifth annual Susan G. Komen Race for the cure. Cheryl looks forward to next year’s race, and she hopes she can double, if not triple, this year’s fundraising efforts.
