Two Injured In Sparta Car Crash: Report

Only one was wearing a seatbelt, according to reports.

SPARTA, NJ— A Morris County pair were injured in a single car crash in Sparta, according to reports.

Natasha Salazar, 24, of Dover, was unfamiliar with the area, and driving too fast. She hit a utility pole just before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night.

The passenger, Yaseen Abuzeed, 23, of Rockaway, was not wearing a seatbelt. He collided with the windshield, and sustained facial injuries, NJ Herald reported.

Salazar was charged with careless driving and driving while suspended, and Abuzeed was charged with failing to wear a seatbelt.

Both were treated for injuries at Morristown Medical Center and released.
