VIDEO: 'Battle of the Bands' to Hit Hopatcong
Borough group promotes anti-drugs and alcohol campaign with a free concert.
The Hopatcong Municipal Alliance will host "Battle of the Bands" Friday night at the auditorium.
And while music will be the main attraction, the alliance hopes to promote an anti-drugs and alcohol message.
The free concert will feature seven bands and a special performance from Goodbye Friday, last year's winner. The event is also sponsored by the Governor's Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse; the Center for Prevention & Counseling and Barber Shop Studios of Hopatcong.

The bands will compete for a free recording session at Barber Shop Studios, cash and other prizes.
Director Michael J. Herbert of Film Corps, a northern New Jersey-based production company specializing in short films, music videos and commercial, shot the above commercial for the event at for free. The same video with Goodbye Friday's music playing in the background can be found on the band's Facebook page.
