Home Improvement Contractor, Working In Howell, Indicted On Failure To Register
Larry Burt, 39, appears to have been arrested previously on the same charges in North Jersey.

A Florida man has been indicted in Monmouth County on charges he was doing home improvement work in Howell without being registered in the state.
Larry Burt, whose current address is Fort Lauderdale, was indicted on a charge of failure to register earlier this week by a Monmouth County grand jury, sitting in Freehold, according to court documents.
Burt, 39, whose address is listed as 5200 N. Federal Highway, Suite 21151, Fort Lauderdale, is accused of offering to perform, engaging or attempting to engage in the business of making or selling home improvements without being registered with the state Division of Consumer Affairs. The incident took place Aug. 23.

The name of the company Burt was operating was not immediately available.
Burt appears to have been arrested and charged with being an unregistered contractor previously. A 2010 NJ.com article on an arrest in Tewksbury said a Larry Burt of Fort Lee was charged with being a nonregistered contractor in that town, after police stopped him while checking a suspicious persons report.

In that incident, he told police he worked for Tri State Roofing by Larry and Triple Ace Paving, but police said no such businesses were on the state’s approved contractors list. Burt was charged with soliciting without a license, having an unregistered trailer, being a non-registered contractor and having fictitious license plates.
