Howell Family Loses Home to Fire
Authorities investigating fire that started in the Cascades Avenue home's attic.
A Howell family was displaced from its Cascades Avenue home after it was destroyed by fire Tuesday night.
According to the Asbury Park Press, the owners, Gregory White and Lauren White, smelled smoke as they were getting ready for bed. They evacuated the family and reported seeing smoke coming out of the attic vent after they left the building.
The fire destroyed the house, but there were no injuries, Detective Sgt. Eileen Dodd of the Howell Township Police Department said in a statement. Authorities are investigating.
