Howell Police Seek Man Who Passed Counterfeit $100

Howell Township Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a man who passed a counterfeit $100 bill at a Route 9 business on Thursday.

The man, identified as a black male, about 6-foot-3, 230 pounds, walked into Amazing Savings, 6788 Route 9 South, in the Grebow Shopping Center, picked up an item located next to the cash register and made a quick purchase, Detective Sgt. Eileen Dodd said.

The man was only in the store about a minute, Dodd said. He was last seen wearing black sweatpants, a plaid jacket and a black knit hat.
