Lidl Hiring Associates, Supervisors For Howell Location
Renovations began at the store location in August 2019; the store's opening has not yet been announced.

HOWELL, NJ — The opening of Lidl in Howell appears to be getting closer to reality; ads have begun to appear announcing that the German grocery store chain is hiring workers.
Lidl has not announced a grand opening date for the store, which is filling the former Best Buy site at 4250 Route 9. But ads have been circulating on Facebook seeking store associates and supervisors for the location.
Information on the Lidl website shows starting pay of $13 per hour for store associates and $17.50 for store supervisors, with both part-time and full-time positions available.

Lidl purchased the 30,000-square-foot Best Buy store in May 2019 from Paramount Realty, Maurice Zekaria, one of the Paramount princpals, confirmed at the time. That followed an initial flurry of publicity after the Lidl logo appeared on a map of the property on the Paramount website in January.
Lidl has been expanding its reach in New Jersey in recent months. The German discount grocer opened stores in Eatontown, Union, and in Hazlet, and a Lacey Township store opened late in September 2019.

Best Buy closed in November 2018 after the company decided not to renew the lease at the site.
