Monmouth Commerce Center Proposal Goes Before Monmouth Board

HOWELL, NJ — Monmouth County officials will be holding a hearing Monday on the proposal for the Monmouth Commerce Center on Randolph Road.

The proposal for the commercial site that would have 1.2 million square feet of warehouse space with 234 loading spaces, 142 trailer parking spaces and more than 700 vehicle parking spaces, is scheduled to be heard by the Monmouth County Development Review Committee.

The meeting begins at 2 p.m. Monday and will be held in the Monmouth County Planning Board Conference Room on the second floor of the Hall of Records Annex Building, One East Main Street, Freehold.

Residents have been fighting the proposal for the site, off Randolph and Oak Glen roads, over traffic concerns and are urging officials to delay a decision until a traffic study is completed on the potential impact of a proposed transfer station on Randolph Road.
