Possible Howell Abduction Remains Under Investigation: Police

The incident happened late Sunday evening.

HOWELL, NJ -- A report of a female being forced into a vehicle against her will Sunday night remains under investigation Monday morning, Howell Police Chief Andrew Kudrick said.

Howell police received a call about 9:55 p.m. from a resident in the Point O Woods development, reporting hearing a female screaming, the department said in a post on Facebook.

The caller, a resident of Cypress Court, told police it appeared the woman had been forced into a black Jeep Patriot against her will, the post said. The man who called could not describe either person, but said the Jeep, which had tinted windows, raced around the parking lot and then out toward the exit, police said.
