Here are the top five stories from across the Garden State:

  1. Although these athletes have proved to be champions at the state level and beyond, several New Jerseyans tested their expert prowess on the world stage at the Tokyo Olympics this year. From July 23 to Aug. 8, the Olympians are continuing to demonstrate years of training and strife after the games were postponed from 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. (Read more on Patch)
  2. All employees of this New Jersey town are now required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, its mayor told Patch. Under the township's new COVID-19 policy, employees have until Sep. 30 to provide proof of vaccination to the municipality's HR department. (Read more on Patch)
