Chirico was very thankful for the award and welcomed the two new members of the zoning board, Valerie Morone and Thomas Rivenburg.

Neil Callahan was awarded a certificate of appreciation, as well. Callahan served on the board from Jan. 12, 2009 to Dec. 31, 2010.

“He was not reappointed this last time when his appointment came up, but he served diligently and with great honor. He is very intelligent and always had a creative comment for the board--always added to the discussion. We had objective conversations, and the applicant and the citizens benefited from his comments,” Van Noy said.

Callahan could not make the meeting because he is suffering from an illness. Van Noy asked for prayers for his quick recovery and return to community service.
