Blues Traveler Brings the Jam to Newton Theatre, Cub Scouts' Can Collection
Your daily planner for Jefferson Township includes a reminder of a Rotary Club event to help infanticipating military families.

Here's what you need to know for Friday.
- Cub Scout Pack 111 of Jefferson is raising funds through an Aluminum Can Collection—and the boys are asking the town to do its part. They ask residents drop off cans at Stanlick School Friday from 6:45-8 p.m. If you have questions, send e-mail to jeffersonpack111@gmail.com.
- Jamband fans rejoice: The much-loved band Blues Traveler brings its singular improvisational sounds to the area Friday night when it plays the Newton Theatre. Tickets range from $47-$67 and may be purchased online. Showtime is at 8 p.m. The theater is at 234 Spring St. in nearby Newton.
- Important reminder for the weekend: The Jefferson Township Rotary Club Virtual Baby Shower is scheduled for Saturday. Residents are asked to donate new baby items, gift cards, bottles, blankets and more that will be given to pregnant spouses of soldiers in the U.S. armed forces. Head to the Lake Hopatcong Pathmark on Route 15 starting at 9 a.m. to do some good for those who have sacrificed so much for all of us. For more info or to make a donation, contact Rotary's Christine Murray at 973 663-2703.
