Boy, 10, Killed in Boating Accident on Lake Hopatcong
Morris County resident fell overboard, was struck by pontoon driven by father, report says.

A freak accident Wednesday afternoon resulted in the death of a 10-year-old Morris County boy after he went overboard and was subsequently struck by a pontoon boat driven by his father.
Christopher D’Amico, Jr., 10, of Mt. Arlington fell into the water while boating with his father just after 1 p.m. Wednesday, njherald.com reported. Once overboard, D’Amico, Jr. was struck by the boat, which was driven by his father, Christopher D’Amico, Sr., and sustained a head injury.
The boy was airlifted to Morristown Medical Center and pronounced dead at 1:35 p.m., the report said.

According to nj.com, no charges have been filed at this time in the accident.
