Every day is an amazing new adventure. Dealing with day-to-day trials, joys and sorrows lead us down an unknown path. With today' s busy pace and struggling with the deterioration of economy, many of us have a plate full of worry. Fortunately there are small joys around every corner; we just have to keep a optimistic eye open for them.
Life was not meant to be traveled in a straight path. We are faced with choices which change our path. These choices can be easy or difficult but will surely send us in a new direction. Each difficult event creates individual strength and compassion for others. Each joy adds to our ability to love. These paths are significant for adults but are apparent for our children as well.
I love watching the journey of each child I am blessed to know. The decisions start as simply as a blue or a red ice pop. We teach them values and strengthen them with a positive self image. They have the power to make good choices. We as adults guide them and reassure them for the beginning of their journey. Keep watching, listening and talking because every moment counts. Keep encouraging and set them up for positive outcomes. Of course, to every life some rain must fall. Disappointment is part of the growing process, and gracefully accepting that is another learning process. All of these wonderful learning experiences build a solid foundation of good values. One day they will be old enough to make each decision based on a good foundation.
