Patch Takes It Off: If You're Moving, You're Losing

Every drop of sweat is a calorie-bomb being ejected from my body.

I hate exercise; it's repetitive, boring and makes you look funny...or so I thought until I started walking as part of my weight loss plan (remember, it's not a diet.)  And not simply walking, more like speed-trekking through Jefferson Township. But more on that another time.

My new motto is: "If you're moving, you're losing."  I came to this conclusion through thorough, conscientious and slightly unscientific observations of motion versus food intake; In other words, how was it that I gained weight on a cruise but lost weight in Disneyworld, yet ate like a starved viking during both vacations?  The answer is in the feet.  On a cruise, my body reclined on a comfy chaise lounge, my feet motionless and elevated to better feel the calming Carribbean breeze. In short, I ate (a lot) but did not move except from the dining table to the bar.

In DisneyWorld, however, my feet were two vehicles which moved me from ride to ride to parade to waiting line, to fireworks, to street shows, more rides and more attractions...and yes, to food.  The food fueled my feet and my moving feet fueled my weight loss, or at the very worst, weight maintenance.  Hence my conclusion "If you're moving, you're losing..   My scale agrees with me...10 pounds lost in the last two months.
