Recently, DaVinciTek, a leading provider of top-tier IT talent, and The New Jersey Technology Council (NJTC) teamed up to sponsor a sequence of breakfasts focused on technology, and how it is constantly changing, affecting our everyday lives. The first breakfast at Morristown’s Urban Table was a hit, and the next one on July 9th is expected to be equally as successful.
As a result of the first of three breakfast series, DaVinciTek set up an Online Food Drive with YouGiveGoods. The drive raised nearly twice as much as their initial goal of $1,000 worth of food. Shortly after their drive ended, on a rainy day in Morristown, YouGiveGoods and DaVinciTek team members were at the Market Street Mission unloading a half a ton of food from the drive. Helping them to unload and carry in the goods, were the men that live at Market Street Mission; the men that the food would directly benefit.
YouGiveGoods EVP, Michael Connell said, “It was really great to see these guys who came to The Market Street Mission to improve their lives doing so well and interacting with everyone present at the delivery. We were all unloading the truck, carrying the goods inside, and it was a great feeling to know that we could play a part in getting food to this awesome organization; everyone was excited.”

Currently, DaVinciTek is gearing up for their second drive with YouGiveGoods. This one will be in support of Morristown’s Community Soup Kitchen and Outreach Center and will kick off July 9th (the day of the next breakfast meeting) and end July 31.
