First Year Baseball Coach Makes Summer Camp His Own

Jason Kalish taught fundamentals, organized scrimmages.

The Falcons first-year head coach Jason Kalish had no idea how summer baseball camp at Jefferson High School was run in past years. He took over the duties of running the 2011 camp and decided to make it his own.

Some 45 kids, second-graders on up to kids going into the ninth grade signed up for his camp. A variety of different drills taught by Kalish and a handful of current and former varsity players kept the campers interested throughout the week.

Along with drills, the campers enjoyed scrimmaging that sometimes included the varsity players.
