
Drew Hall, Jon Kristoffersen and Jeff Oster’s combined 44 points proved too little for the Jefferson boys basketball team on Wednesday night, as the Falcons fell to Mount Olive, 94-77 in Flanders.
Jefferson found itself in a 15-point halftime deficit that it was unable to overcome as Mt. Olive’s Zach Heeman put together a game-high 28-point performance. Tyler McEvoy added 16 points for Mt. Olive (9-4).
The Falcons fell to 9-6 with the loss as Evan Rapp chipped in with 11 points and Kenny Ginefra added nine points.

Falcon Ice Hockey Falls
Tanner Muscatella scored three goals to lead the West Morris ice hockey team past Jefferson, 5-1, according to NJ.com.

Wade Novak scored for Jefferson (0-14-2) and Jamie DeIturrondo stopped 33 shots for West Morris (4-10-1).
Girls Stop Mt. Olive
Kristen Swerzenski finished with 17 points to lead the Jefferson girls basketball team past Mount Olive, 68-34, according to NJ.com.
Sammy Lapszynski scored 16 points and Kristen Flaherty finished with 12 points for Jefferson (12-1).
On Wednesday:
Matt Servedio put together games of 237 and 247 to lead the Jefferson bowling team past Sparta, 5-2 in Jefferson.
Kyle Bendish added games of 222 and 233, Chris Cook recorded a 223 game and Mike Staples finished with a 201 game, to lead Jefferson to its 12th win of the season.
