Multi-Family Garage Sale, Free Fitness Continues at Curves

Bargain hunters can get a jump on weekend yard sale madness: A multi-family garage sale kicks off Friday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. (It continues, again from 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday.) On sale will be a wide variety of items, including mid-century antiques, household furniture, a queen-sized brass bed, a pottery kiln, dining room chairs, tools, lamps and more. The sale takes place at 21 N. Alpine Drive. 


The J-Town Curves fitness center continues its "Back to School, Back to You" campaign. Women are invited to try the 30-minute Curves Circuit at no charge. The exercise center is also offering a free first month of membership through Sept. 30.
