Pedestrians Killed In Jefferson Crash Identified: Police

BREAKING: David Rackley, 50, from Long Valley, New Jersey and Andrei Gross, 70, of Madison, were killed in Friday morning's crash.

JEFFERSON, NJ — Police have identified David Rackley, 50, from Long Valley, New Jersey and Andrei Gross, 70, of Madison, as the two pedestrians killed in a traffic accident in Jefferson early morning Friday.

Rackley and Gross were killed crossing Route 23 in Jefferson around 5 a.m. on Friday after going to a Dunkin Donuts. Police said they were struck in the left lane, thrown into the right lane and struck again. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Rackley was "a very selfless and kind hearted man. Truly a heart of gold and an angel on earth," his niece Edanna Guaimano told Patch. Rackley is survived by his father, two sisters, his aunt, two nieces and three nephews.
