What's happening in Jefferson Twp. on Tuesday.

Patch has put together some things you need to know for Tuesday.
It's the first day of the new school year at Lake Forest Nursery School. The morning class, which runs Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, is in session from 9:15-11:45 a.m. (though for the first week, class will end at 11:15 a.m. to help the children acclimate to the schedule). The afternoon class starts at 12:30 p.m. on those three days and ends at 3 p.m. Spaces are limited, but those interested in seeing if openings remain may call the school's co-chair, Michelle Mahoney, at 973-663-0296. For more info, visit lfyc.org and click on the Nursery School tab.
The Jefferson Township Planning Board will have its regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. to discuss proposed building projects and determine whether they comply with the municipality's master plan. Members of the public are invited to attend. The meeting will be held at Jefferson Town Hall, 1033 Weldon Road in Lake Hopatcong.
Tuesday offers an opportunity for women seeking to become more fit: the J-Town Curves fitness center presents "Back to School, Back to You." As part of the fit-focused festivities, women are invited to try the 30-minute Curves Circuit at no charge. It includes a fitness assessment, where you can set goals and attempt a workout including strength training, cardio and stretching—with assistance from a coach. The exercise center is also offering a free first month of membership through Sept. 30. For more information, call Curves at 973-663-4433 or visit the website at www.CurvesJtown.com. Jefferson's Curves is located at 5 Bowling Green Parkway, Route 15 S, in Lake Hopatcong.
