Randolph & Family, BoDeans Rock, Middle School PTA Meets
You daily planner for Jefferson Township.

Here's what you need to know for Thursday.
- The Parent Teacher Association of Jefferson Township Middle School meets Thursday at 7 p.m.
- Band parents convene at Jefferson Township High School, also at 7 p.m.
Thursday is an excellent night for J-Town music fans.
- Robert Randolph & the Family Band are outright revered on the jamband circuit, traveling across the nation and serving up a piping hot gumbo of rock, blues, soul and funk that defies you not to groove. The group is touring in support of its new CD, "Lickety Split." Dance and shake your bones when the steel-pedal guitar master and company grace the stage of the Newton Theatre at 234 Spring Street in Newton. Showtime is 8 p.m. Tickets run from $29 to $49 and can be purchased online.
- If indie heartland roots-music is more your deal, catch the BoDeans at the Stanhope House. These Milwaukee boys fuse blues, rock, country, folk and soul into something memorable and thought-provoking—as demonstrated on the band's latest, "American Made." The Stanhope is at 45 Main St. in Stanhope. Tickets are $25 and can be procured via the interwebs.
