Transitioning Into High School

Transitioning into High
School Workshop Coming to Jefferson Twp, NJ 



 



The Jefferson
Twp Municipal Alliance Committee (JTMAC) and the Jefferson Twp Education
Association & Municipal Organizations (JTEAM) will be hosting a
Transitioning into High School workshop for 8th grade students and
their parents on Thursday May 22, 2014 from 6:30P – 8:00P.  Pizza will be served at 6PM.

            The workshop will feature two
certified life coaches.  Diane Lang, a positive
parenting life coach, & therapist from dlcounseling will help parents to
identify their concerns.  Diana St.
Lifer, a certified life coach from Choices by Design who works with adolescents
and teens on change and transition, will speak to students about the fears,
anxiety, self-doubt and worry that may occur during this time.  Together they will help parents and students
develop ways to ensure a smooth transition which is the foundation to ensuring
a successful academic year.  



            This program will occur at CAMP
JEFFERSON MAIN LODGE, 81 Weldon Road, Jefferson, NJ. This event is open to 8th
grade students and their parents/guardians free of charge.  Funding is provided by the Jefferson Twp.
Education Association through a PRIDE in Public Education
Grant in partnership with JTMAC. 
Community organizations joining together to help students make good
choices.
