Access to Employment Brings More Than Fifty Companies to a Community Job Fair in Jersey City

The fair will bring together employers, job seekers, and workforce partners to expand access to employment opportunities.

Jersey City, NJ — Equitable access to employment will be the central focus of a Community Job Fair bringing together more than fifty companies and organizations on Thursday, March 19, in Jersey City, in an initiative organized by the New Jersey Coalition of Treatment Providers (NJCTP), in partnership with A Better Life Resource Center and the New Jersey Coalition of Latino Pastors and Ministers (NJCLPM).

The event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at A Better Life Resource Center, located at 129 Linden Avenue, Jersey City, New Jersey 07305, and will be free and open to the public. The job fair is designed to connect individuals actively seeking employment with employers currently hiring across key sectors, including healthcare, education, transportation, manufacturing, construction, security, social services, and workforce development.
The initiative reflects a comprehensive vision that recognizes meaningful employment as a critical driver of individual stability, economic recovery, and community strength, with a particular emphasis on second chances as an essential component of a more inclusive and sustainable economy.

“Access to employment is one of the most decisive factors for individual stability and community well-being,” said Daniel Regan, President of NJCTP. “This job fair is about creating real connections between people who want to work and employers willing to invest in talent, dignity, and second chances.”

From the faith and community leadership perspective, the Reverend Raúl Ruiz, President of the NJCLPM, emphasized the broader social impact of the effort:

“Facilitating access to dignified employment is a concrete way to restore hope, strengthen families, and promote social cohesion.”

Bishop Richardson highlighted the importance of cross-sector collaboration:

“When community organizations, employers, and faith leaders work together, inclusion moves from an abstract ideal to a tangible practice.”

The event is free and open to the public. Advance registration via Eventbrite is encouraged; however, walk-ins will be welcomed:
