Advancing Statewide Collaboration for Behavioral Health

In gratitude and goodwill, NJCTP gently clarifies its bond with NJAMHAA: no formal ties, just shared hearts in the work of healing.

In the spirit of institutional transparency and professional integrity, the New Jersey Coalition of Treatment Providers (NJCTP) issues the following clarification regarding the press release disseminated on June 18, 2025, which referenced the New Jersey Association of Mental Health and Addiction Agencies (NJAMHAA).

We wish to respectfully clarify that, while NJCTP deeply values NJAMHAA’s enduring leadership in the behavioral health field, there is currently no formal collaboration or programmatic alliance between our organizations. What has occurred is the extension of an in kind donation of membership, offered by NJAMHAA as a gesture of goodwill and collegial recognition. While sincerely appreciated, this act does not constitute a strategic partnership or operational affiliation. The aforementioned release was circulated prior to the completion of a customary joint review and approval process. This lapse, which arose from an internal administrative oversight, is acknowledged with humility and a renewed commitment to uphold the highest standards in our external communications.

NJCTP holds NJAMHAA in the highest professional regard. Their legacy of advocacy, service, and policy leadership on behalf of New Jersey’s most vulnerable populations remains a beacon of institutional excellence. Though no formalized partnership exists at this time, we remain united by a shared mission: to advance compassionate, equitable, and evidence-based systems of care for individuals and families affected by mental health and substance use challenges. This statement is not intended to revisit or revise the goodwill expressed, but to fortify the clarity and integrity that must guide our shared work in service to others. Our commitment to collaboration, when grounded in clearly defined terms and reciprocal consent, remains unwavering.
