Harbor Seals Are Back In Jersey City: VIDEO
The seals were spotted enjoying the warm weather in the harbor in late February. Check out the video here.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — As Jersey City's human residents flocked outside to enjoy the unseasonably warm temperatures last week, so did harbor seals. The sea mammals were caught on video enjoying the sun near the Statue of Liberty.
In this video taken by Wild Jersey City on Feb. 24, the seals can be seen lounging in the water just south of Liberty State Park.
Seals occasionally swim into the Hudson River and harbor area. Other New Jersey areas are known to have seals: the animal is regularly spotted off the coast of Sandy Hook.
