Jersey City Music Teacher Charged With Sexually Assaulting Student

JERSEY CITY, NJ — A 62-year-old Jersey City music teacher was arrested last Thursday on charges that he sexually assaulted a male student.

David Musial, of Jersey City, was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus last Thursday.

The crimes occurred over the span of four years from 2018 and 2022 when the victim was between the ages of 14 and 18 years old, the county prosecutor said. The assaults occurred in Musial’s music studio on River Drive South in Jersey City.

Prosecutor Suarez credited the Special Victims Unit with the investigation and arrest. Anyone wishing to report a sex crime should call the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit (SVU) at 201-915-1234.

He has been charged with first-degree sex assault, aggravated criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child. Musial is currently being held at the Hudson County Jail.
