Public Scoping Hearing Notice For Parks In Jersey City
A scoping hearing to obtain public comment on park redevelopment proposals will be held on Aug. 14 at 6 p.m.
From the City of Jersey City: Take notice that Jersey City has contacted the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Green Acres Program, proposing to dispose of .98 acres of two parks:
- 16th Street Park, 215 16th Street; Block 7102 Lot 1 (.46 acres)
- Harmon Street Pool, 531 Communipaw Ave; Block 18702 Lot 9 (.52 acres)
The City proposes to redevelop these obsolete parks and will replace them with 4.8 acres of parkland acquired for the Morris Canal Greenway. Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 7:36-26.8(a) a scoping hearing to obtain public comment on this request will be held at
Jersey City Hall, City Council Chambers
280 Grove Street, Jersey City NJ 07302.

All interested parties are invited to attend and participate in the scoping hearing.

Box 420, Trenton, NJ 08625-0420. Public comment on this diversion request will be accepted during the scoping hearing or until August 28, 2019
