JERSEY CITY, NJ — A storm that could intensify into a "bomb cyclone" is expected to drench Hudson County most of Saturday, bringing 1-3 inches of snow and wind gusts up to 50 m.p.h., forecasters said.

The area is under a winter weather advisory from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.

The NWS predicts that rain will start in the area after 4 a.m. Saturday morning. It may turn to snow around 1 p.m., sometimes heavy. It will continue until around 7 p.m.

Saturday afternoon, "Winds could gust as high as 44 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible," the NWS says.
