• The growing revolt against AI data centers just escalated as N.J. claws back $250M (nj.com subscription) — A massive $1.8 billion CoreWeave AI data center is rising at the former Merck campus in Kenilworth, backed by up to $250 million in already-approved state tax credits. State leaders have now shut down the rest of the data center tax break program amid growing concern over electricity, water use, and quality-of-life impacts, as Kenilworth and neighboring towns continue to protest the project.
