$13K Raised For Special Needs Camp By Lacey Elks
The funds will provide a free vacation experience for children with physical and intellectual disabilities at the camp this summer.

LACEY, NJ — The Lacey Elks Lodge #2518 Motorcycle Committee earned top honors for fundraising during the 2026 John Sentter Memorial Polar Plunge.
The event took place on Feb. 28 at Martell’s Tiki Bar in Point Pleasant Beach. The annual plunge invites participants to enter the cold Atlantic waters to raise money for charitable causes.
The committee raised more than $13,000 to support the mission of Elks Camp Moore.

The camp is located in the Ramapo Mountains and provides a specialized vacation environment for children with physical and intellectual disabilities. These services are provided at no cost to the families of the children who attend.
"Our committee is built on the philosophy of 'Riding With Purpose, Giving With Heart,'" said a spokesperson for the Lacey Elks Motorcycle Committee. "To see that dedication translate into over $13,000 for the kids at Camp Moore is an incredible honor. We aren't just a riding group; we are a community dedicated to making a tangible impact."

The Lacey Elks Lodge #2518 serves as a long-standing organization in Ocean County. The lodge supports the community through veteran services, youth programs, and various charitable fundraising efforts. The Motorcycle Committee combines an interest in riding with the broader mission of the Elks.
The money raised from the polar plunge will go directly toward maintaining the facilities and programs at Camp Moore. These contributions ensure that children in the special needs community continue to have access to a safe and empowering summer camp experience.
