Checks Stolen From Vehicle In Lacey, Cashed: Police
The checks were written with different amounts and signatures, totaling about $1,100, police said.
Four checks were stolen from an unlocked vehicle and cashed Feb. 28, according to police. Three of the four checks processed, totaling around $1,100, the Lacey Police Department announced Friday.
The victim left his checkbook in his vehicle, police said. The checks, when cashed, were written for different amounts with different signatures, according to police.
Officer Jessie Dalziel responded to the theft report at the 500 block of Brentwood Road in Forked River, police said. The incident remains under investigation.
