Lacey To Hold Meeting To Ready For Town's 150th Birthday

LACEY, NJ — Lacey Township's 150th-birthday celebration will begin to take shape. The Township will hold a kickoff meeting for preparations at 7:15 p.m. this Thursday in the Court Room of the Municipal Building (818 Lacey Rd.).

"We have received a tremendous amount of interest from our residents that would like to assist us in planning some wonderful events throughout the course of next year, but we need to start planning now!" the Township wrote.

Lacey was incorporated into a township by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 23, 1871 from portions of Dover Township and Union Township — now known as Toms River and Barnegat, respectively — according to laceytownship.org.
