Lacey Man Pleads Guilty To Luring Boy For Sex: AG
The boy was really an undercover cop participating in "Operation Open House."

LACEY, NJ — A Lacey man pleaded guilty Monday to attempting to lure a 15-year-old boy for sex, officials said. The New Jersey Office of Attorney General will recommend Dylan Daffron be sentenced to five years in prison.
An undercover cop from the Vorhees Township Police Department encountered Daffron on social media Sept. 8. Daffron thought the officer was a 15-year-old boy. He communicated with the "boy" and asked him to meet him for sexual activity. Daffron sent sexually implicit images to the officer in the exchange, the OAG said.
Daffron was arrested later that day when he arrived at the house in Toms River to dozens of officers. He was one of 24 arrested in "Operation Open House," a multi-agency investigation targeting alleged child predators using social media to lure teens and children for sex.

Daffron is scheduled for sentencing Oct. 11.

"Through multi-agency operations like Open House and Home Alone, as well as our day-to-day monitoring of social media, we’re working diligently to arrest sexual predators and protect children,” Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal said in a statement. “I urge parents to talk to their children about the dangers of social media and the fact that predators use the internet to manipulate children into situations where they can be harmed.”
Zachary Vincent, 24, of Lacey, was also listed in "Operation Open House." He was charged with second-degree attempted sexual assault on a minor (a 15-year-old girl), the OAG announced in September.
