Lacey police recently arrested a Bayville man on numerous charges after he tried to hide two syringes, three empty wax folds of heroin and drug paraphernalia in his car after he was stopped on Route 9 North, Police Chief Michael A. DiBella said.

Patrolman Jesse Dalziel stopped Scott A. Montefusco, 29, Grand Central Parkway at 12:22 p.m. on July 22. When Dalzier approached the driver's side of the car, he spotted Montefusco trying to hide the items in between the driver's seat and the center console, the chief said.

Montefusco was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He was charged with possession of a hypodermic syringe, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, driving with a suspended driver's license and using fictitious plates, DiBella said.
