Testing

The County will continue testing this week at Ocean County College in Toms River. Requirements for testing include the following:

  • You must be an Ocean County resident and have identification.
  • You must have a healthcare practitioner script.
  • You must make an online appointment at www.ochd.org.
  • You must be symptomatic.
  • Entry to the college site is from the Hooper Avenue entrance.

The college site operates from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Rite Aid on Mule Road in Toms River now offers coronavirus testing. Patients will have to swab their nostrils themselves. MORE.

Schools

New Jersey schools will be closed through at least May 15, Governor Phil Murphy announced Thursday. MORE.

The district held a "Celebration Tour" on Thursday to honor the graduation seniors. Lacey police and first-responder emergency vehicles drove to each senior's home — all 266 of them.

The school district's Transportation Department included a decorated school bus in the parade, which high school administrators, Superintendent Dr. Vanessa Clark and school-board members will occupy. MORE.

Restrictions and Updates

  • An employee at ShopRite in Lacey tested positive for the virus, the store announced Sunday. MORE.
