Lacey Brush Fire Breaks Out By Garden State Parkway: Sherriff

A brush fire broke out by the Garden State Parkway in Lacey and is causing delays, officials said. The Ocean County Sheriff's Office said at 1:20 p.m. to expect delays near mile marker 73 northbound.

The Forked River Fire Department extinguished the flame, according to state police. The fire occurred about 25 feet off the roadway, police said. There were no vehicles involved, no injuries and no roads affected by the fire, according to police.
