Slow Down While Driving, Lacey Committeewoman Asks
"Every time I turn around, I'm hearing about another accident here in town," Committeewoman PeggySue Juliano said at a recent meeting.

LACEY, NJ — After a series of recent car accidents in the township, one Township Committeeperson has one request for Lacey drivers: just slow down.
"Every time I turn around, I'm hearing about another accident here in town," Committeewoman PeggySue Juliano said at a recent meeting.

"We've got to slow down," Juliano said. She asked drivers to leave earlier and take their time.

"Everybody's in a rush," she said.
She also asked for drivers to pay attention to the roads, especially with kids riding bicycles.
"We've got to stop and think before you put the pedal to the metal, as they say," Juliano said.
Juliano also brought up drivers looking at their phones instead of the road. "We're just out there driving, we're not paying attention."
Melody Pryor thanked Juliano for bringing up the issue and suggested implementing some sort of awareness initiative for drivers to prevent more accidents.
"Everybody wants to get home at the end of the day," Pryor said.
