Lacey Township school district officials are giving residents a chance to have their say about what qualities they want in a new schools superintendent.
Participants and stakeholders in the school district’s Strategic Plan are invited to provide their input at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 26 and Thursday, Oct. 29 in the Lacey Township High School’s lecture hall.
The Southern Regional Institute and Education Technology - the firm hired by the Board of Education to conduct the search - will be on hand to discuss the school district’s direction and the selection of a new superintendent.

The Lacey Board of Education recently authorized spending up $7,500 to conduct a superintendent search to replace Sandra Anthony. A previous board in 2014 gave Anthony - who was known as Sandra Brower then - a notice of non-renewal of her contract.
Anthony was suspended without pay in June 2013, after she was indicted by a Monmouth County grand jury and charged with second-degree official misconduct, third-degree hindering apprehension and fourth-degree obstruction during the time she was assistant superintendent in Wall Township.
