'Suspicious Death' Under Investigation in Lakewood: Police

Police have confirmed they are investigating the death at an apartment.

LAKEWOOD, NJ — Authorities are investigating what they have labeled a suspicious death at an apartment in Lakewood.

The death was reported Friday morning at an apartment on Monmouth Avenue, Lakewood Police Capt. Gregory Staffordsmith said.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said the person found dead is a woman. He said further details would be released later.
