Donald Trump Closes New Jersey Campaign Headquarters
The headquarters for the Republican presidential candidate has been closed for "at least a month," Politico reports.

The New Jersey headquarters of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has closed, and appears to have been closed for at least a month, Politico reports.
The Trump campaign last paid its rent on the building in Edison on May 11, according to the Federal Election Commission, and two employees of a nearby company told Politico the office has been vacant for “at least a month.”
His campaign’s state director has not been paid since May, and two other staffers in the state have not been paid since the June 7 primary in New Jersey, according to the report.

State Sen. Joseph Pennachio (R-26) told Politico the campaign’s plan all along was to close the office following the primary. He also said the Trump campaign plans to open another office in New Jersey, but was unaware of exact timing or plans.
Pennachio has been a vocal supporter for Trump in New Jersey, and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie was one of the first Republicans nationally to endorse the candidate.

Trump opened his headquarters at at 3910 Park Avenue Unit 5 in Edison on May 3, but didn’t say at the time that the location of the headquarters was temporary.
Within a month of the opening, a Monmouth University poll showed Clinton ahead of Trump by just four points.
That has since changed.
According to the most recent Fairleigh Dickinson poll, Democrat Hillary Clinton holds a 12-point lead over Trump in New Jersey, while the Morning Consult has Clinton ahead by 9 points in the state. CBS has Clinton ahead by 15 points.
Additionally, Clinton recently increased her lead in the battleground states of Pennsylvania, Iowa and Ohio, according to NBC.
Recent national polls all have Clinton ahead, with her margin growing in polls that include just she and Trump, as opposed to polls that also include Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein.
