Adath Israel brings Hillel Zaremba for a presentation entitled “Why the Media Gets It Wrong about Israel." It is free and open to the community. This informative program is sponsored by Adath Israel’s IN in conjunction with its Maalot Initiative Grant and the Israel Commission of United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism and Nefesh B’Nefesh.
Hillel Zaremba is associate director of Islamist Watch, a project of the Middle East Forum which seeks to challenge the incursion of non-violent Islamists into Western societies as well as encourage moderate Muslims to speak out on their own behalf. He also serves as assistant editor of the Middle East Quarterly and is the coordinator of the Forum’s lecture series.
Hillel previously served as Curriculum Coordinator for Eyes on Israel an educational project of the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America (CAMERA) used by middle- and high-school educators to help students practice analytical thinking and develop a critical eye regarding what they read, see and hear about the Middle East in the media. (2004-2010)

He also worked for over twenty years in the private and public sectors developing instructional materials for a variety of clients, including the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Army and the U.S. Coast Guard. He holds a bachelors degree from at the University of Pennsylvania in Near Eastern studies and a master’s degree from Yale University in Religious Studies.
