Being directly affected by domestic violence, Vincent and his wife Tommi are strong advocates for violence-free homes and communities. They serve communities by visiting shelters, speaking to advocacy groups, and encouraging others to act to end domestic violence and sexual assault.
The couple founded the Love Thy Neighbor foundation in Trenton nearly 20 years ago. The foundation gives back to the community and empowers the lives of others. The Vincents have since expanded their work to neighborhoods throughout the nation.

“It is indeed humbling to be the recipient of the 2023 Barbara Boggs Sigmund Award. Its significance and legacy represent decades of dedication to ending domestic violence and sexual assault,” Vincent said in a statement.
“Turning pain into purpose is an example of how one voice can grow to be amplified on behalf of millions, and it’s a reminder that violence against women and young girls is our issue.”
The award, named after the former Princeton Mayor and founder of Womanspace, honors a survivor, advocate, and trailblazer who made a difference in the lives of survivors.
The evening will include a cocktail reception and silent auction, to be followed by dinner, drinks, and a raffle.
Guests who attend the Awards Dinner, Womanspace’s biggest fundraiser of the year, and sponsor it at a certain level, will also be invited to a VIP Reception with Vincent.
“Womanspace is honored to have Troy Vincent Sr. as the 27th Barbara Boggs Sigmund Award recipient. Domestic violence is not just a women’s issue.
