2 Home Burglaries In Livingston: Cars, Doors, Copper Pipes Stolen

Livingston Police: Stolen items included two cars, a home's doors, copper piping, plumbing and electrical components.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Two home burglaries were recently reported in Livingston, police announced Tuesday.

The Livingston Police Department released the following details about each incident:

Residential Burglary – “On July 31 at noon, Livingston officers responded to a Fordham Road residence on a report of a burglary to a home. Upon officers’ arrival, they were met with the property owner, who advised the home was in the process to be renovated/re-built and sometime over the past several weeks the home was burglarized. The home's doors, copper piping, plumbing and electrical components were stolen from the residence. The Livingston Detective Bureau is investigating.”

Stolen Vehicles / Burglary – “On Aug. 3 at 7:50 a.m., Livingston officers responded to a North Rockledge Drive residence upon a report of two stolen vehicles. Upon officers’ arrival, they met with the homeowner who advised they awoke that morning and found two of their vehicles, a Mazda and Infiniti, had been stolen. The Mazda was parked in the driveway and the Infinity had been parked in the garage. Sometime in the overnight hours, the suspects entered an unlocked Honda in the driveway and used the garage door opener to open the garage. The suspects then entered the mudroom and stole the keys to the Mazda and Infiniti, subsequently stealing both vehicles. The vehicles were located a short time later in Newark. The Livingston Detective Bureau is investigating.”
