2016 Chopped Junior winner contestant on Celebration Of Music PBS

2016 Chopped Junior winner and Livingston resident is on reality television again, this time for a singing competition.

2016 Chopped Junior winner, and Livingston resident is heading for reality TV again, this time for singing. Amanda 13 1/2 entered and was chosen to participate in PBS's new reality show "Celebration of Music" The show is hosted by Ethan Bortnick, a 17 year old American, singing sensation, and prodigy of music. Ethan has been recognized for being the youngest person to host a solo concert.

Together, both Bortnick, and PBS are searching for the next new and up and coming young talent. In order to be considered contestants have to submit a video of them singing or showing their best talent.

Amanda submitted her video, and has been selected to be a part of the competition. The reality show, will show the video clips from all the contestants, will air on local PBS station WHMT on August 25, 2018, at 6:00 PM

The viewers then will get to vote and pick the video, or singer/act that they like the best. The winner will be announced at a live concert in Troy New York, in which all the contestants will be a part of Ethan Bortnick's concert. The winner will get to go to Las Vegas, and perform a solo of their own next year.

Amanda has been writing her own music since she was seven years old. " She has an amazing voice, it will definitely take her somewhere." said Tony Mowatt actor, and and vocal coach. "Her voice and writing style are distinctive." " There is a maturity beyond her age in both her voice and writing".

Amanda has had the unique opportunity to preform and be invited to many vocal competitions in NYC, in which she has won awards. She also has the great experience to preform at iconic places in NYC like the Cutting Room, and Metropolitan Room, the Leonard Nimoy Theatre, and the Duplex, to name a few.

" Amanda is the kind of person you want to see win", says her, mother Cindy DeFuria, "she works so hard at her dream, and never gives up." "She has such a humble kind heart, and donates her voice and time to charities, like the Brick City Rescue, and Scarlet Fever. She always wants to give back. "
