Kane previously worked with Newark Academy's wrestling program in Livingston and was involved with the Livingston Youth Wrestling Program and the Township of Livingston, prompting investigators to seek additional information from the public.
• Livingston Police Urge Drivers to Be Prepared to Slow Down or Stop When Sharing Road with School Buses (tapinto.net) — With school starting August 31, Livingston police are warning drivers to slow down, obey school-zone limits, and follow strict rules around flashing school bus lights and stop arms on local roads. Residents are reminded that violations can bring heavy fines, license suspension, points, and even jail or community service, all aimed at keeping Livingston students safe.
• Essex County Rally Calls on Lawmakers to Pass Polluters Pay Act (foodandwaterwatch.org) — Essex County officials and advocates gathered in Newark to push for New Jersey's Polluters Pay Act, which would charge major fossil fuel companies to fund climate resilience projects. Livingston is among the towns that have passed resolutions supporting the bill, which backers say could raise billions, create thousands of jobs, and ease costs for residents facing flooding, heat, and pollution.
